Customer Support Engineer – Des Moines, Iowa

SCOPE:

  • The Customer Support Engineer position directly reports to the Des Moines Engineering Group; Engineering Operations Manager and supports ADB products in customer locations for product support, field testing and/or commercial deployments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for ADB customers working with complex RF and IP networks and systems.

Tasks include:

    • Answering technical questions either on the phone, e-mail, and on-site

Customer Support Engineer – Zielona Góra, Poland

We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer (CSE) to join our Worldwide Software Customer Support team. The candidate will be based at Zielona Góra, Poland.

You will become a member of the Customer Support team applied to innovative solutions in digital TV area. The position requests abilities to support backend software video solutions dedicated e.g. to the processing of video flows (metadata manipulation), billings, adding of advertisements, statistics and data processing.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities are in the area of the Post Sales, split between Pre- and Post-Deployment as follows:

In Pre-Deployment, the CSE collaborates with the ADB teams in order to install and configure the software video solutions, having pre-configured virtual machines and docker containers. The CSE also collaborates on the tests in the customer environment. At the end s/he creates the technical documentation related to the software interfaces.

In Post-Deployment, the CSE monitors the systems deployed and activates the maintenance campaigns. S/he provides the first response when a new issue is risen by the customer, making the necessary investigations (problem reproduction, logs retrieving, traces gathering…). S/he proposes any workaround intended to minimize or eliminate the malfunction and activates the ADB development team for the bug fixing action. S/he contributes to the fix verification when the test must be done in the field, obtaining at the end the customer acceptance of the new software release.

The role requests availability to travel a few days per month.

Hardware Engineering Director – Taipei, Taiwan

ADB is looking for a dynamic Hardware Engineering Director with international experience that will be responsible for managing ADB Hardware Engineering team, designing ADB set-top-boxes and gateways, bringing innovation into the company, planning and directing all aspects of hardware engineering activities, managing the relations with ODMs on technical aspects like: roadmaps, projects, design reviews (DFx), industrialization.

The Hardware Engineering Director will cooperate with other ADB functions in relation to new technologies, developing and establishing product hardware roadmaps, defining platforms, contributing technically to cost reduction initiatives.

The person will also manage technical relations with strategic partners and vendors.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • familiarity with cost drivers
  • Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and criticalities: design review, DFx (design for manufacturing, assembly, serviceability, cost, quality, etc).
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes is a plus
  • Experience in supporting procurement in RFQ/RFI from technical point of view
  • Experience as a facilitator between european teams and suppliers for technical subjects

  • Availability to travel to meet suppliers in Asia and customers in Europe
