ADB adds ALi Corporation to Partner Network

09 September 2015 – Geneva, Switzerland: Today ADB and ALi announce a strategic partnership. ADB is expanding its partner network with the addition of ALi Corporation, the leading set-top box (STB) chipset provider.

The partnership, which will see ADB’s Personal TV solution pre-integrated into ALi’s platform, will enable service providers and STB makers to tap into ADB and ALi technologies and deliver first-class, compelling TV experiences.

ALi is a leading innovator and developer in the STB system-on-chip (SoC) markets. The ALi M3733 platform is the company’s most powerful chipsets and by integrating ADB’s Personal TV solution, service providers are presented with an end-to-end TV solution with quick time to market. The joint solution will support full HD1080P60, MVC video decoding and multi-stream, as well as features such as USB media, VOD and YouTube.

First European Hotel deployment of ADB’s popular U.S. Business TV solution

ADB today announced that Hotel Ruben in Zielona Góra, Poland, has chosen ADB’s Business TV solution to enhance the TV and entertainment packages that it provides to its guests.

The move sees the Polish hotel become the first European deployment for ADB’s popular CVS software. The system is already deployed throughout tens of thousands of hotel rooms in the US, and is fast being adopted by many operators and commercial customers around the world. It makes the provision of high quality entertainment in hotel bedrooms easy to manage and provides property owners with new guest revenue streams.

Cyfrowy Polsat and ADB partner to enhance personal TV experience

02 September 2015 – Geneva, Switzerland: ADB and Cyfrowy Polsat today announced a collaboration to co-develop solutions for the delivery of advanced TV services. ADB and Cyfrowy Polsat will combine their technologies and engineering expertise to deliver compelling, personal TV experiences built on ADB’s newly launched ConnectedOS cloud platform and high quality set-top boxes produced by Cyfrowy Polsat.

Cyfrowy Polsat is the largest pay-TV provider in Poland and one of the leading satellite platforms in Europe. The company offers viewers access to 160 channels as well as services such as pay-per-view (PPV), video on demand (VOD), online TV, catch up TV and multi-room. In 2007 Cyfrowy Polsat set up its own set-top boxes factory and since that time has produced several million devices of various specification. It also owns Poland’s largest, multiplatform online television IPLA and has a strategic aim to develop its television services across all the different devices viewers use to watch TV content.

Cyfrowy Polsat will integrate ADB’s innovative Connected Solutions and Personal TV software into its own manufactured set-top-box range, enhancing the consumer experience and bringing a new level of interaction and navigation to TV viewing. ADB will also incorporate the Cyfrowy Polsat set-top-boxes into its end-to-end solutions for Personal TV.
