We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Specialist, who will be an independent employee involved in all activities related to occupational health and safety service including supervisory, control and advisory to the Company.

Job location: Zielona Gora, Poland or hybrid
This is a part-time job (about 50 hours per month)
What will you do?
- Perform OHS service within the company: supervision, control and employer’s advice in the OHS in accordance with Polish legal requirements,
- Conduct OHS inspections in the company’s branches and preparing analyzes,
- Provide expert advice on OHS regulations and best practices and develop OHS improvement plans,
- Supervise and conduct initial and periodic training in the OHS area for employees and managers (remotely and on-site),
- Create and supervise internal instructions, regulations, policies and procedures for OHS,
- Conduct and update occupational risk assessments for various job positions,
- Ensure timely execution of OHS activities and maintain all required documentation in compliance with Polish legal requirements,
- Representat the company to external authorities and institutions in the OHS field,
- Promote health and safety awareness and support internal OHS initiatives and campaigns,
- Prevent of incidents and accidents and, if they occur, prepare documention, determine the causes and prevention methods,
- Organize and coordinate evacuation drills and fire safety exercises,
- Participating in projects, workplace changes, and process improvements to ensure compliance with OHS requirements and safety standard,
- Cooperate with managers, employees and cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of OHS requirements and initiatives,
- Support for certification processes from an OHS perspective.
What’s important for us?
- Higher education degree with a major or specialization in Occupational Health and Safety, or has completed postgraduate studies in Occupational Health and Safety,
- Min. 3 years of experience in the health and safety service as an independent specialist
- Practical knowledge of OHS regulations following Polish law and their interpretation
- Periodic training of OHS service employees and people for this service certification
- Experience as employer representative during inspections in the field of OHS
- Experience in preparing internal instructions, regulations and procedures as well as supervising and opinion
- Time management skills, keeping deadlines and details orientation – we know the „Dura Lex, sed lex” principle and we totally agree! It is important to pay attention to deadlines and details, especially in the OHS area
- Open mind, flexibility and adaptability – we are committed to ensuring a high level of OHS at ADB. You need to know that our company is still developing, so it is essential to formalize the OHS and, at the same time, be flexible and match the rules to changing legal and market conditions
