How best to shuttle multimedia around the home? There's no single answer to that question. One approach is to build an all-new, full-featured gateway. Another, more economical answer for both the operator and the consumer is to design media-savvy software that works with devices you may already own:

ADB's Virtual Gateway delivers such a solution: it is an advanced software that distributes multi-media capabilities throughout the home, letting consumers enjoy pay-TV, music and videos from wherever they are. For example, subscribers can use their gaming consoles to tune to a pay-TV channel or watch recorded programs, or access videos stored on their DVR and play them on their smart phones.

The Virtual Gateway makes use of current generation ADB and 3rd Party hardware platforms. It can therefore be deployed economically, and without disrupting the operator's installed base of devices. While large physical gateways are not needed with the Virtual Gateway, they are fully supported, hence providing operators with a complete flexibility, now and in the future.
