October 26th 2011 – Geneva, Switzerland and New Orleans, USA: Advanced Digital Broadcast, (www.adbglobal.com) a leading supplier of advanced solutions for the connected home, announced today that it is demonstrating a comprehensive set of products for Pay-TV and broadband operators at TelcoTV 2011.

Following the acquisition of Pirelli Broadband Solutions in late 2010, ADB now offers a full range of broadcast and broadband devices and software, working together to provide a complete multi-room, multi-service experience. Visitors to ADB’s booth number 633 will be able to view exciting solutions including:

  • ADB’s Connected Home software suite, that remotely manages consumer devices using the TR-069 standard, already adopted by leading service providers in Europe and the Americas, who benefit from significantly lower operating costs and improved consumer satisfaction. This intelligent gateway uses the Epicentro® software stack with OSGi framework and Network Application Portal. This Application Portal makes it very simple for consumers to transparently install home network applications from a dedicated “application store”. Example services include energy management, home automation, home security, health-care and more. Until today, these applications required complex software installations and an always-on PC.
  • The ADB-3721WN and ADB-5721WNX working seamlessly together in a home network environment and incorporating the latest Minerva 5.1 middleware; as well as integrated and certified HPNA. Moreover the products will be supporting Edgeware’s fast channel change and re-transmission solution. This solution is currently being delivered to South-Central Indiana based telephony operator, Smithville (www.smithville.net) through ADB’s distribution partner, Border States Electric. This solution will provide Smithville’s customers an exceptionally fast and high quality user experience resilient to packet loss and other network impairments.
