Our commitment is that no product designed and produced by ADB will have a negative impact on the environment and that all products will be safe for their intended use.
We believe that environmental responsibility starts at the design phase and we operate a ‘Design for the Environment Policy'. This includes the implementation of procedures and methodologies to account for environmental issues at all stages within the product lifecycle. ADB requires that all manufacturing subcontractors hold and maintain a certified ISO14001 Environmental Management System and we carry out our own internal and external environmental audits to ensure compliance with this policy bi-annually.
ADB continually monitors developments in the scientific and legal community and changes in draft legislation which may require new substitutions of parts or components and immediately implements such changes where appropriate. We have also instituted a program to measure and identify raw materials used in our products, including packaging, accessories and printed material in order to comply fully with:
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) Directive 2002/95/EC
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC
